The coin’s obverse side features a familiar profile effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, familiar from circulation coinage across the British Commonwealth and originally designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. It carries the inscriptions “Elizabeth II, ” “Australia, ” and 1 Dollar. The reverse side features John Mercanti’s action artwork of the Wedge-Tailed Eagle in high relief, captured mid-flight with claws out as if in pursuit of prey. The rim features the inscription “Australian Wedge-Tailed Eagle” and verification of the coin’s weight and silver contents. Limited mintage of 50,000 pieces worldwide! Contains 1 Troy oz of.
