Weinman’s 1916 “Walking Liberty” half dollar, widely considered one of the most beautiful American coins ever minted. Thanks to modern design technology, the updated obverse is a closer reflection of Weinman’s original vision and includes the addition of his traditional artists mark. The new reverse design features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as it to add to a nest. The reverse designer was Artistic Infusion Program Designer, Emily Damstra.
