Staring with the 20th Anniversary of the Silver Eagle in 2006 the US Mint makes the Burnished Silver Eagle each year with a two-year hiatus in 2009 and 2010. The US Mint announced in December 2019 that they will change the design of the Silver Eagle in 2021 making 2020 the last full year of the current design used since 1986.
